New year – but the same problems are plaguing the supply chain industries world-wide. Supply chain companies are under increased pressure to decrease delivery time without raising the cost of shipping. To add to that - organizations are scrambling to come up with solutions that will not only grow their business but retain qualified employees.

On February 6th, Infor, a global software company invites leaders in the supply chain industry to a virtual summit aiming at connecting the community and discussing both the current state and future of the field. Infor is a global leader in cloud software products specializing in such industries as manufacturing, finance, and supply chain and logistics.

According to the summit’s website, Modern, digitally enabled supply chains must operate as intelligent business networks that connect systems, processes, and partners. This not only improves visibility, but it also helps establish a more responsive supply chain that leverages the cloud, automation, and analytics to help organizations to become more customer-centric.

The summit is sponsored by Accenture and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Speakers include the Head of the Americas and GM at Infor, Rod Johnson;  CEO of BlueWorld Supply Chain Consulting Jake Barr; Heidi Banko, VP of Solutions Strategy at Infor and six other bright minds in the field.

The summit hopes to tackle issues that afflict the field today as well as come up with solutions for the future.  The festivities kick off online at 9a with Johnson and Banko discussing how to build a connected, intelligent and responsive supply chain.
