When is Your Supply Chain Considered Completely Automated?

As companies continue to look at automating more and more of their suppliers, several have moved beyond the scope of the traditional merchandise purchases. They have found that with different partnerships there are other supply chains to automate. Areas that are being looked at are what some call Expense suppliers which would include Service suppliers, Utility companies, replacement or repair parts and services and some are even looking at automating the process of warranty parts.

What's Missing from Your 852s?

Over the past year there has been a lot of "hoopla" around suppliersdesire for 852 data to support their relationship with their customers. What I am hearing is that 852 data is understood to be related to POS information from Retail stores. I wanted to alert partners that 852 data is indeed POS data communicating what was sold at a retail store, but organizations are also providing on-hand inventory and even reporting what was sold from a retailer's Distribution Center in this data feed. Why is that important you ask?
