According to Supply Chain Dive, Walmart is working towards creating an omnichannel for its supply chain, reports Supply Chain Dive. 

The merging of the supply chain team is Walmart's latest push toward integrated digital and store operations.

Fashion company ASOS suffered a technical glitch while upgrading its warehouse technology, reports Supply Chain Dive. As a result it lost about $25 million in sales due to the new automated storage and retrieval system failing to accurately report inventory. 

The CEO explained the automated elements of the company's warehouse management system and its warehouse control system caused inventory available to customers to decrease significantly

Dust Identity, a firm that wants to use miniscule fragments of diamonds to attach tracking codes to parts, has raised additional funding, reports Fortune. The diamond fragments would make it possible to track the parts through the supply chain.
