According to the Digital Journal, the needs and wants of millennials is creating an experiential supply chain.

To create the “NextGen” supply chain, businesses are going to have to start small, reports Supply Chain Dive. They will need to also think big, and act fast.

Hewlett Packard (HP) will use its own Multi Jet Fusion 3D printing technology to enhance its supply chain, reports ZD Net. By using its own 3D printing they will lower costs, cut design time and lead times.

According to Bloomberg Technology, Samsung is considering using blockchain technology for its global supply network. Samsung will use the technology to track everything from cross-border payments to the life-cycle of perishable goods.

According to NextGov, the Army will develop the “most sophisticated supply chain system”. To do so it has awarded contracts worth more than $418 million to contractors.
