Continuing today's theme of using actual data to identify best practices, Chris Cunnane on the Logistics Viewpoints site looks at the concept of sharing inventory between on-line and brick & mortar locations. Research tells us that "those organizations that share inventory across channels have increased customer retention 12% year-over-year, compared to a 1% reduction for those companies that do not share inventory."
